Teeth Whitening Procedure
Our “at-home” whitening procedure begins with impressions of your teeth that are used to fabricate models for your custom whitening trays. These clear flexible acrylic trays will contain and hold the bleach solution against your teeth.
Our special whitening agent solution is easily placed into these trays which are generally worn one to two hours per day. This solution will work to lift stains right out of your enamel without altering tooth structure or existing dental work in any way.
When your teeth have reached the desired brightness you want to achieve (typically 10-21 days), only an occasional touch-up treatment will be needed to maintain your smile with its new brighter shade. Dr. Clanton and his team will provide weekly monitoring during your whitening process.
This will help you achieve whitening results quicker and guide you in protecting sensitive gum and root surface areas. Guidance is always provided to help you achieve optimal whitening results.

Whitening Systems
Dental whitening systems are offered by our office with materials having the ADA Seal of Acceptance (Opalescence/KOR Whitening). Both systems have proven to be very effective in correcting many tooth discolorations which have been caused by staining, aging, or chemical damage to the teeth.
The type and color of stain determine the success of whitening and can be evaluated by Dr. Clanton and his team prior to starting the whitening process. In cases of extreme discoloration of teeth, bonding, crowns, or porcelain veneers may be the better choice for whitening.
Teeth whitening, because of its simplicity and relatively low cost is almost always worth a try in most cases where brightening your smile is desired.
